After graduation from Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Surveying Engineering in 1995, I began a four year apprenticeship, ultimately gaining licensure as a Professional Surveyor in Michigan. I continued work with various firms that allowed me to pursue experience in various venues, ultimately gaining State licensure in Arizona, Ohio and Wisconsin. Throughout the process, I have been extremely fortunate to gain the experience while employed at various firms. The skills and work ethic have taught me many lessons and allowed me to set goals not only for myself but for the clients served, allowing the realization that I wanted to pursue my own firm.
Piatt Land Surveying is my way of working toward the goal of operating a client based professional business, facilitating interation through all phases of the project. This level of communication allows a more fluid and transparent operation; One where the client feels informed and part of the project team.
When considering hiring a land surveying firm, please consider a local professional before you contact some out of town firm who may not be as aware of the local surroundings, physical monumentation or recoreded information. I look forward to working with you on understanding what needs to happen and assisting you with your next project.
